Dr. Shy C. Ni

Dr. Shy C. Ni earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Merced, where she was recognized for her dedication to learning and made it onto the dean’s and chancellor’s honors list. She decided to pursue a career in dentistry and obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the A.T. Still University – Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health.

After completing her dental degree, Dr. Ni was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Honor Society and received an award from the American Academy of Periodontology for her accomplishments as a dental student. She went on to specialize in Periodontology and also earned a Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) degree from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. During her residency at Harvard, she conducted research in the field of periodontology and received recognition for her work, winning awards in both basic science and clinical impact categories at a national research forum competition organized by the American Academy of Periodontology.

Upon graduation, Dr. Ni was honored with the Dr. James H. Shaw Award for her leadership, research excellence, and outstanding clinical work. She has decided to stay in Massachusetts, where she completed her residency in Boston, to serve the community she has grown fond of.
